THE HEART OF SUMMER
A Tale of Memory and Madness
"At the beginning, I was a moon, but they heard my creaking masks, and were hungry for my wound. So I rolled into the heaving ocean, so abyssal I could not draw breath, and I twisted and trashed and snaked and coiled and climbed out onto the land, only to get caught in a web of sorrows. Now I'm an explorer that the world desperately needs. A spider, a bat, a grub, a buzzard. All-at-once with my little heartbeat, each thud magnificent. Now, every moment is perfect. And you know what? Fuck, it gets only better from here."
